Shai Hills is a protected area and nature reserve located in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, near the town of Dodowa. It is about 50 kilometers northeast of Accra, the capital city. Shai Hills Resource Reserve was established in 1962 to protect the diverse wildlife, natural vegetation, and cultural heritage found in the area.
Some of the wildlife that can be found in Shai Hills includes antelopes like kob, bushbucks, and duikers, as well as baboons, monkeys, and various bird species. The rocky cliffs and caves in the reserve also serve as homes to bats and other small mammals.
